SS100

The SS100 was built between 1935 and 1939, designed by Sir William Lyons. It is probably the most beautiful and important pre war Jaguar.

These cars went on to win numerous prominent races across Europe. It is a great testament to the sporting ability of these cars, that they were still winning races in 1949 when George Apacicci won at Crystal Palace in the old number 8 works team car.

Woodwork

All our woodwork is made of the best available materials; each frame comes complete with Floor, Doors, Dash Panel, etc. We manufacture the wood frame on jigs built on an original frame; as such our body will fit an original chassis.

Body Skin

Hand built using Aluminum sheet, 1.6MM thickness TIG Welding as this ensures a stable finish. Panels are file finished to perfection prior to being painted

Guards

Supply a complete set of front and rear guards; these guards are manufactured using patterns from original SS100 guards as our former, they are manufactured using 1.6MM aluminum sheet, fully wired, file finished, they also have three coats of underseal for protection against stone damage, they come complete with front lower stone guard protector strip and correct blind rivets.

Upholstery

All our cars come complete with a set of hand built seat frames, covered in the finest leather. The remainder of the interior upholstery is finished in the same colour and quality leather, including piping. Carpets are the finest quality material in a colour to suit the upholstery.

Instruments

Instruments... Jaeger as per original our instruments are a full set of reconditioned Jaguar Gauges. Each gauge is refaced with the correct embossed SS emblem. We are also able to supply boost gauges for those looking to supercharge their SS.

Electrics

Electricals... Lucas a complete new wiring loom is supplied; our braided wiring looms are manufactured as per the original, using original colour codes. Each loom comes complete with all authentic electric relays, voltage regulator, etc.

Paint

We can paint the car any colour the customer chooses, Paint finish is PPG Two Pack, this is de-nibbed and polished to resemble Acrylic for authenticity.

All parts are new and manufactured to exact SS100 specifications.

Fabricated Steel Ladder Frame chassis is fabricated as designed by Rubery Owen, using Jaguar's original factory drawings. All components are as per the original, as is the assembly method, we rivet each member together using period blind rivets, and each sub section is assembled as per the factory specifications. Our chassis?s are finished in POR black which gives a robust semi gloss finish, affording our customers the most authentic reproduction available today.

Rear Suspension

Axle (rear).... Salisbury or ENV MK 4, SS
fully reconditioned and painted in POR semi gloss black.

Front Suspension

Axle (front)... Beam, MK 4, SS Saloon
fully reconditioned and painted in POR semi gloss black.

Brakes

Brakes... MK 4, SS Saloon
Period rod brakes, fully reconditioned, including all rods, pivot points, etc. New drums remanufactured by us.

Wheels

Wheels ... Mk 4
Correct wire wheels, fully reconditioned, and painted body colour, we replace splines on all cars, tyres are usually Dunlop rubber.

Engine

Engine... O/H Valve 2.5 or 3.5 litre MK 4, SS
Engines are fully reconditioned and come complete with the correct SS logo on the right hand side of the block. Note; please ask for a detailed breakdown of the engine specifications.

Diff

Diff... MK4 or SS
All components of the diff assembly are reconditioned and painted in POR semi gloss black.

Gearbox

Gearbox... 4 speed Moss
Each gearbox is fully reconditioned with as many new components as required to give excellent long term service.
